Transfer Monitoring

Question
What is a '7-day Transfer Monitoring' hold and will this prevent me from registering or being validated?

Answer

A Transfer Monitoring hold is a U.S. Department of Education requirement for new and former students returning who may have previously received aid at another institution.

This hold is to ensure your federal student aid history is updated by the U.S. Department of Education and the University. It will prevent the disbursement of your financial aid for the 7 days.

However, this hold does not affect your ability to register, be validated, or request a book voucher.

This hold will delay the disbursement of your aid for 7 days which may hold any anticipated student refund during the holding process.

The removal of this hold is automatic and you do not need to speak with a Student Financial Services representative to have this hold removed.
